About us

The first Galleria Russo was opened in Rome in 1898 by Pasquale Addeo, the great-grandfather of the current owner and Director, Fabrizio Russo, who represents the fourth generation of a family dedicated to art. Galleria Russo soon became one of the most prestigious Italian Modern Art galleries, establishing privileged relationships with some of the most important painters of the 20th century such as Giorgio de Chirico. Thanks to the passion and the seriousness of the Russo family, the gallery, located in the heart of Rome, has always been an absolute reference point to the whole Italian artistic market.

From 1984 Fabrizio Russo is the owner and Director of a gallery located in the heart of Rome, in via Alibert 20, a few steps from Piazza di Spagna. Galleria Russo dedicates its spaces to Modern and Contemporary Italian art.

On November 2014, together with Hale Karacelik, Ferdan Yusufi and Giogio Bertozzi, and inspired by the great sensitivity to art of the Turkish community,  Fabrizio Russo decided to open the new Russo Art Gallery of Istanbul. The new gallery, located in Bogazkesen Cad. 21/A, features the works of Italy’s most respected living artists.
