Manuel Felisi was born in 1976 in Milan. He attends the Art School and the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. He moves between different fields including painting, photography and collage to create installations in which he translates and tells the time. The common thread that binds his production is a topic that concerns all of us, our being and being there, here and now; time with its passage changes things, preserves them and makes them forget. He uses photography for express a time that immobilizes and measures places, objects, people and feelings; the instant of the photograph is no longer a mere mechanical operation but becomes the symbol that links the different types of time described in the work. His works are made up of layers of different materials that always follow the same scientific order, like a ritual that - from painting to printing - never gets confused with mechanics and repetitiveness as they are always the result of the involvement and sentiment that guide the his artistic doing. His first solo Exhibition is in 2002 in which he combines paintings and sculptures exhibited at the Spazio Isola in Milan.
