Born in Taranto on March 27, 1972. From 1997 to 2009 he worked as an advertising creative in Saatchi & Saatchi first and then in Arnold Worldwide Italy (creative director). He has won all the most prestigious awards in the industry (Cannes Lions, Eurobest, Clio Award). In 2007 he was Grand Prix at the Art-Director's Club. Since 2005 he has devoted himself exclusively to painting. After participating in the 5 + 5 generations collective in comparison (2006, Milan, Studio D'Ars) in 2007 he made his debut with the first solo show Conta fino a ten curated by Luca Beatrice (2007, Milan, Fabbrica Eos) and with the solo show Paolo Troilo in Parma (2007, Galleria Contemporaneo). In 2008 he exhibited together with Fabio Giampietro in the double solo show Giampietro and Troilo, curated by Alberto Mattia Martini at the Spazio Gianni Testoni in Bologna. He also exhibits again in Milan (Paolo Troilo, curated by Samuele Mazza, Visionnaire Design Gallery) and Padua (Conta fino a ten, Anna Breda Contemporary Art). Luca Beatrice again curates the Troilo exhibition in 2009 (Milan, Fabbrica Eos); in the same year he exhibited in San Gimignano (My name is none or maybe one hundred thousand, Galleria Gagliardi) and Reggio Emilia (Paolo Troilo, Galleria De 'Bonis). In 2010 his first solo show in Rome, at the Galleria 5 lune and the Paolo Troilo exhibition at the Teatro Selve di Vigone (Turin). The Actions exhibition project sees him engaged in 2011 with the personal curated by Lorenzo Canova at the Russo Gallery in Rome and with the personal exhibition at the Gagliardi Gallery in San Gimignano. Again in 2011 he exhibits at Palazzo Antonori in Florence while the Troilo, Reazioni exhibition is curated by Mattia Zappile at the Galleria Fabbrica Eos in Milan. In 2011 he was among the artists participating in the 54 Venice Biennale, Italian Pavilion curated by Vittorio Sgarbi (Venice) and in 2012 he participated in the LVII National Exhibition of the City of Termoli Award 2012, curated by Lorenzo Canova. In recent years he has also taken part in several important group exhibitions: In hands (2008, Milan, Mondo Arte Gallery), Bianco & Nero (2008, Reggio Emilia, Studio De Bonis), Contemporary Life (2009, Marciana, IF Art Gallery) , SwingArt (2009, Opera, Le Rovedine Golf Club), Pensiero Fluido (2010, Milan, Spazio Oberdan, curated by Alberto Mattia Martini), Artist's Rooms (2012, Rome, Russo Gallery and Angelica Library, Angelica Gallery). He has also exhibited in the most important national and international fairs: Mi Art (2007, 2008, 2009), Art Verona (2008), ArteFiera Bologna (2010), Miami Art Basel (2008), Sawb Barcellona (2012). He lives and works in Milan.
