Photos for Life

Galleria Russo presents its collectors with a collection of works by screenwriter and writer Enrico Vanzina, here in the lesser-known role of photographer. The proceeds from the sale of the photographs, printed in a print run of eight copies each, will be entirely donated to the purchase of a high-resolution manometer for the Complex Unit of Paediatric Gastroenterology of the Policlinico Universitario Umberto I – La Sapienza University, Rome directed by Prof. Salvatore Cucchiara. In the critical text accompanying the catalogue, set designer Gaetano Castelli, whose inventions have already starred in some of the best-known television programmes, recalls how Vanzina the photographer is a revelation: “Enrico walks poised on the edge of the world, between a sky as intense as Yves Klein’s blue and the golden yellow of the Egyptian desert that will soon turn into the stardust of fantasy’.
